Kempinski signs a deal in Belgrade

The contract on transfer of Belgrade Hotel "Jugoslavija" to Kempinski Hotel chain was signed yesterday between the owners, "Alpe Adria Hotels", and the chain representatives. The information on this project were announced during the press conference, given by Zinka Dinic, Irina Kertsikoff and Vassillis Kertsikoff of "Alpe Adria Hotels" and Duncan O'Rourke and Rupert Simoner of "Kempinski Hotels". Most of the permits required for the nearing construction start have been assembled, whereas the outstanding ones are soon to be completed. In addition to the refurbishment of the existing hotel complex, a 140 meters high mixed use tower will be adjacent to the north wing of the hotel. The deadline for completion of all construction works is 3 years and the newest addition to Belgrade five star hotels - Kempinski Beograd - will open its doors at the beginning of 2011 latest.

The new hotel will spread over 26,000 square meters and feature 270 rooms, where 3,000 square meters will be turned into a wellness oasis for relaxation and resting. The mixed use tower, with an area of 34,000 square meters, will offer office space in its lower floors and residential area in its upper floors. The complex will also have 30,000 square meters in commercial space.

The investment in reconstruction of the hotel, which was originally built in 1969, is €40 million, whereas the construction of the tower and other accompanying works will cost €60 million.

Na 25. spratu beogradske kule Ušće danas je potpisan ugovor o preuzimanju Hotela Jugoslavija između "Alpe Adria Hoteli" i lanca Kempinski. Na konferenciji za štampu prisustvovali su Zinka Dinic, Irina Kertsikoff, Vassillis Kertsikoff ispred Alpe Adria Hotela i Duncan O'Rourke i Rupert Simoner, pretstavnici Kempinski hotela koji su predstavili informacije o ovom velikom projektu. Većina dozvola koje prethode izgradnji objekta je pribavljena, a u toku je nabavljanje i ostalih kako bi se hotel kompletno rekonstruisao u planiranom roku. Pored revitalizacije u planu je i podizanje poslovno stambene kule visine 140m na severnoj strani hotela. Rok za zavrsetak svih radova na novom kompleksu je 3 godine, a hotel sa 5 zvezdica - Kempinski Beograd - ce najkasnije pocetkom 2011. godine biti otvoren za prve goste.

Renovirani hotel će imati 270 soba na 26.000 kvadratnih metara površine, 3.000 kvadratnih metara će biti namenjeno takovzanom "velnesu", odnosno prostoru za odmaranje i opuštanje. Poslovno stambena kula će biti površine 34.000 metara kvadratnih, a biće izgrađeno i 30.000 m² komercijalnog prostora. Buduća kula će imati dva krila u kojima će na višim spratovima biti stanovi, a na nižim kancelarijski prostor.

Ceo projekat rekonstrukcije hotela Jugoslavija koji je izgrađen 1969. godine će koštati 40 miliona evra, a izgradnja kule kao i sređivanje novih površina će koštati dodatnih 60 miliona evra.
