The works in Cika Ljubina Street are almost complete. The entire street got the new looks, paved with granite tiles at its full length, from Republic square to the SANU building in knez Mihajlova Street. This makes Cika Ljubina Street first bigger street tiled in the same manner as Knez Mihajlova Street as a part of the project to expand central pedestrian zone. At this moment they are doing finishing works on the tiles, setting up the public lighting, flower pots etc.

It is interesting that the reconstruction of Cika Ljubina street started with yellow concrete tiles which were removed just couple of days later. The reasons for this mistake are still unknown. We present pictures from this brand-new pedestrian street in central Belgrade.

Radovi na Čika Ljubinoj ulici u centru Beograda se privode kraju. Ulica je dobila novo lice, popločana pločama od granita celom svojom dužinom od Trga Republike pa sve do delijske česme kod zgrade SANU u Knez Mihajlovoj. Ovime Čika Ljubina postaje prva veća ulica koja je popločana po uzoru na Knez Mihajlovu u projektu proširenja centralne pešačke zone. U ovom trenutku treba da se završe fini radovi na pločniku, postavljanje šahtova, novih stubova javnog osvetljenja, žardinjere itd.

Zanimljivo je da je rekonstrukcija Čika Ljubine ulice bila dočekana sa betonskim pločicama žute boje koje su bile sklonjene već par dana kasnije, a tačni razlozi ove greške su javnosti i dalje nepoznati. Predstavljamo najsvežije fotografije sa nove gradske pešačke ulice.
